luke 22:39Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. 40On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." 41He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." 43An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. 44And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.[c]

seekfind,

how did Jesus come down from heaven when he was born here on earth???!!

Ahmad don't ask them questions they can't answer. they can't seem to agree on whether he was God or son of God or both.

edit:
for mimi.
great i agree with you that the Trinity doctrine is made up and that Jesus and God are indeed not equal.
so what would make Jesus a physical son of God just because he spoke God's word? was Moses the son of God? was David the son of God?
God is so powerful and can do any thing he wants just by saying "be" and it is. then why couldn't God do the same in the case of Jesus' birth? we know Mary was virgin, but why couldn't Jesus be a Human Miracle? a sign from God for the Israelites?

Let me ask you if any explanation about the Trinity will help you appreciate Christianity, at all?

Being a Muslim, you believe your version to be right.

Now, let me ask you when your "Prophet" - Muhammad had 12 wives, from Khadijah, who was a 49 year old woman when he was in his 20's, all the way to Aisha, who was a 9 year old child when he was in his 50's, yet he decreed that the True Believers may only have 4 wives and that too, only if the first one was dead or infected with an incurable disease [read the sura of the cow]; while he, himself had more than 9 wives who were all alive and disease free. You cannot deny the Truth of this, can you?

Then, isn't he guilty of adultery and should he not have been stoned to death along with those wives?

Can you Answer this?

Please do understand that it is equally insulting to Christians to be asked such mocking questions as it is if someone were to use your own History against you.

I'm sorry, but I do not mean any disrespect to your people. I'm merely trying to give you a taste of your own medicine.

I agree with Poki in that Jesus should be considered a Human Miracle and Mimi is partially correct in that the Trinity doesn't feature in the Bible per se, but came later.

When Jesus came down from heaven to become mere man He put away all His divine attributes to identify Himself with man. In this part of scripture Jesus worshipped and prayed to God as a man and not as the Son of God.

True Christians do not believe in the doctrine called trinity.the word doesn't even exist in the bible.Jesus is the son of God and they are not equals in authority, however they are one in the sense that Jesus taugh only what his father had sent him for.He was one with his father in the sense that he did not teach pple his own personal views but rather his father's message. His was his father's spokesperson and that is why is referred to as the "word".

In Mark Chapter 9 verse 7 God says to Peter, James, and John with Moses and Elijah there, "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him."
