if someone repents and turns from that lifestyle... then ya its erased
i personally am no respector of persons and would treat him no different than any other if he continues in that lifestyle i would warn him of the dangers and consequences... but also try to get him to heal the broken parts of his heart that he hasnt given to God that has caused it.

Ted Haggard. When the story broke, my first thoughts were
that of sorrow. The following verse applies: 1 Cor 10:12 "Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall". Do I forgive him, of course. Other gay people? I
live by this quote of Mother Teresa: " If you are so busy judging others, you don't have time to love them". As a mother of teens who happen to have 2 gay friends, I can only tell you that when these young men enter my home, they are greeted with a smile and my sincere interest in their lives. Each opportunity that avails I speak the truth of Christs love, and the value He places on them. It is not my place to judge or even forgive. It is Christ who
deals with the issues of the heart.

Haggard is (or was) the leader of an evangelical megachurch, while I'm Roman Catholic -- so I didn't think about him very much before, and I don't really think much about him now.
What he did in no way validates the gay lifestyle -- nor does it make the gay lifestyle any safer. Any lifestyle that renders a man's life expectancy to a low 41 years is one that everybody should avoid.

The bible says if we don't forgive then He wont forgive us. God doesn't hate the person just the sin. God expects people to repent of their sins so He can forgive. Gods word says Gays have chosen eternal damnation which means the lake of fire with the dEVIL

To a Born Again, religious leaders can do anything...ANYTHING...and receive a get of out jail free card. All they have to do is get in front of the TV and "cry" and beg for forgiveness. Then, in the same breath, ask for more donations. And they will get them too, because "Born Agains" are easily misled, because they need to believe SO much they are willing to be robbed from.

This is a prime example to watch for people that preach so against a "sin" they them self are the perpetrator them self. Just like catholic priest or fascist muslims and the taliban.
All religion is fake and man made, gods are non exsisting

Mav was not hurt by Haggard, Mav had no dealing with him, so he doesn't owe Mav an apology.
He does need to try and make amends with his congregation, those he worked with, the man he spent this secret time with and to God.
Mav needs nothing from him.

Why do people think it's Christians decisions to send people to hell? Our duty is to warn of God's wrath shortly to come. God will judge everyone equally.

I don't need to forgive him since he never did anything wrong against me. If he sinned he needs to take that up with God. People don't need my seal of forgiveness; they need God's forgiveness. And if God forgives, who can condemn? And if God condemns, who can redeem them? Its simply not my business.
