I just went through this because I used to smoke in my bedroom and we were selling and we wanted it fresh.

Try carpet fresh on the floors, Fabreze on the seats (if they are not leather), crumple up old newspaper and put them under the seat (they absorb odors), and sit a bowl of white vinegar under the seats or in the floor board when you are not driving. You can even dilute vinegar and use it on your windows and interior to wipe everything down. Allow the car to air out as much as possible too. Regular old baking soda sprinkled on the seats and floors will absorb odors too, then all you gotta do is vacuum it up. Charcoal placed on some cardboard under the seats would absorb smoke smell too. If everything fails you can have it professionally shampooed. I found a lot of info just doing searches when I was looking. Good luck!

Go to Western Auto or Pep Boys, something like that and by a spray called "ozone" I recommend you spray your car with that aftr you've cleaned it and during the night so you leave your car closed all night, when you use it in the morning it would not have any kind of smell. I'm telling you because I have a friend who smokes A LOT and his car never smells.

Fabreez works on Skunk odors, so it should work on less offensive ones. By the way, your aversion to the smell of cigarette smoke is socially instigated, not scientific.

When I stopped smoking, I bought Armor all wipes & cleaned everything possible with them, then I sprinkled baking soda all over my carpets, let it sit & vacuumed it up, I also put baking soda in my ashtray & left it open, it really helped.
For my home, I washed all of the walls & celeing with pine sol & murphy oil soap mixed with water & sprinkled baking soda all over my carpets & let it sit over night. Worked great.
