In my opinion, things are just way to complex for general evolution. I could see maybe a large colony of mold somehow coming into being on it's own,, but all the complexity we have here., No chance.

Of course there is a creator...God created the universe (actually universes...I absolutely believe in multiple universes, as well as God.) If you think of it though, the Creation Story as related in Genesis isn't all that idiotic. You have take into consideration the audience that it was written for. Now the Hebrews of the time weren't stupid people, nor were they uneducated, but their understanding of thing was limited by the state of knowledge in the world back then. Not dumb, by any means, but they probably would not have grasped concepts like the Big Bang, red shift, neutron stars, dark matter and the like. The "Seven Day Method of World Creation" got the point across to them.

I consider what I read in Genesis has true genuine facts.Jehovah God is the creator of everything, the heavens & the earth. It is foolish to think of the creation account as idiotic.

The book of genesis contains some of the oldest and most primitive myths that were included in the old testament, some or most of these stories are found in ancient Sumerian clay books from the year 5000 B.C. or so, and had probably a earlier origin. We should consider these stories as ancient myths and not as holy "science".

Who created the creator? If something as complex as the universe was created, doesn't that imply an incredibly complicated creator, who must therefore have also required a creator?

remember the people who wrote genesis down originally were taking it from stories passed down by word of mouth for several generations. it's going to be fairly unreliable. i think creationism is nonsense, however i like to think that the big bang theory dosen't rule out the some intelligent intervention. no body has a solid theory as yet of what triggered the big bang.

you have two choices Creation or Accident.I think, as hard as it is to understand, it is easier to believe there is a creator than to believe that the world wit hall it's compexities happened by accident and chance...

If there was an all knowing, all powerfull creator, he / she/ it , would have surely done a better job than the chaotic, evil, angst ridden world in which we live.
