Studay all religions. All of them. Then you can see what man has written about God, and you can see where things overlap and don't overlap, commonalities and anomalies.

Take what you have learned there and compare it to your own experience. Again, look for common points. See what holds true and what doesn't hold true. Test all of it.

After that, you're probably headed in the right direction, though certainly no guarantees on being at your goal.

You don't. It's as simple as that.

I'd studied Vedic Hinduism long ago, when I was studying Comparative Religion, under Swami Agehananda Bharathi, the 6'4" tall German Hindu who used to teach at Syracuse, USA.

He taught me the Wisdom of the ancient Hindus who had done a lot of research into this question and then come to the conclusion - "Deivehah nirguna, nirakara". God is beyond physical and intellectual comprehension.

There is no way that we can fathom the Absolute, being the Relative creatures that we are.

Living this transient Life well and contributing what we can to the well being of our Society is what we should be concerning ourselves with; rather than attempting the Impossible.

I'm sure the Muslims will say read the Koran and the Christians will say read the Bible and so on. If reading their Scriptures could bring them nearer to God, we wouldn't be having the mess that's here, now; would we?

Have a nice day, Sir.

Man, for every person out there, there is a different answer... but all I can say is, if you are really seeking to truth, CRY OUT TO GOD! Tell him, I want to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing bu the truth, then start digging in the Bible. As you open your heart, He will lead you. He loves you so much!!!

There is a book called the course in miracles that may be helpful to you. Its stated goal is to help you understand the process as you put it. It seeks to provide no conclusions for you as it sees you perfectly capable of coming to these conclusions on your own.

Most of all avoid religion. They all seem to want to tell you what to think rather than how to think for yourself.

Email If you think I can assist.

love and blessings Don

Do a research on all religions that come to your head that are around you with an open mind, then make sure you ask lots of good questions to each religion. The bible promises"ask and you will be given"knowledge".Don't be proud if you learn something new that is factual and bible based in case pride might stand in your way to finding the truth. The truth set me free and i hope you find it sooner than later.Don't forget to pray about this project you are undertaking.

It is rather simple, those who know themselves will know the God. One must realize that human are created out of four elements. Relate these four elements to the universe, open the door to your heart, let your heart listen what the universe has to say. Only those with a pure heart will find the truth about God . The four elements are:- AIR, WATER, FIRE (Blood) and EARTH (Flesh)

Ask the follow questions:
Is there a spiritual realm apart from the natural realm?
If your answer is yes. Is there a supreme spiritual being called God?
If yes do you believe God created the natural realm and you?
Do you believe in the spiritual realm there is a heaven and a hell?
Do you believe seeing all the chaos and destruction created by man, that you are a sinner?
If yes, do you believe that you cannot save yourself from your sins and God is the one who does this and gives you eternal life and heaven?
If yes, do you believe that God has sent Jesus to die (without the shedding of innocent blood there is no remission for sins) for your sins and to give you eternal life?
If you do then you are ready to confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and believe in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead.
If you so confess and believe welcome to God's kingdom and may the fullest of God's blessings rest on you and your loved ones..

look there are many varied answers to this question and some are true but if anyone truly is sincere in connecting with God the shortest and most effective way is to choose a quiet place, perhaps your bedroom and from your heart ask God to come into your life and as a sign of sincerity offer God your heart, God will not fail to surprise you, wait and see.

Here's my thoughts on God and the Devil. I feel that they are both real. They exist in each and everyone of us. When we do something we feel is right, not just because we feel that this is what God would think is right, but because it makes us feel good inside, then that is from God. God is good.
When we do something we know is not right, because it makes us feel terrible inside, not just because we feel that God would not like it,, that is from the Devil. The Devil is evil.
We can make the choice of which way to go. I don't know if that helps you or even makes any sense to you at all. It's just my opinion. And it's what I believe in my heart.
