thats a very open question, do you mean growth as in mental, or physical,, ? either way, i would say both,,,, parents give the genes and also the guidance, the child brings their own personality and drive,,,,, so this definatly applies to mental, but even physical, a parent may offer lots of good food, but if a child is picky and doesnt eat well, they might not grow well

if its concerned with mental development or growth of a child then YES parents play an important role in it as far as their mental growth and emotional bonding is concerned as parents teach them about various things which they cannot learn from the strange WORLD outside
and atleast some or the other essential guidance is required from either of the parents for the proper up bringing of a child hence u can see the difference between a child brought up in a slump and a child of a rich parent thats all i can say

Both...

Parents are responsible for nurturing growth in their children by assisting their kids in their endeavors, offering encouragement and by being their biggest fan.

Children are responsible for nurturing their growth by getting out there and trying new things, committing to the experience and learning from their experiences.

Mental growth; probably parents. (until you get to a certain age where you can make your own decisions and choices)

Physical growth: depends on the parents too, you inherit their genes!

A tough question; something for everyone to think about! On ya dude! xo

Parents are responsible to teach and show the children how to behave, how to reach out for their own dreams and a basic knowledge of responsibility for themselves. So I would have to say parents should guide the child until he or she is at the age of 21yrs. by then the child should have the tools it needs to survive.

bY FAR THE BULK OF THE RESPONSABILITY HAS TO FALL ON THE PARENTS I am a father of 2 & I believe it is my job to provide them with the tools they will need to be happy well adjusted adults. Its up to me to give them a good moral foundation , a sense of right & wrong good self esteem. I need to teach them how to make good choices , to teach them to apply themselves & not give up , to show them how important family is & a big one is , I think to teach cause & effect so the learn early that for every action they take there will be an equal & opposit reaction , they need to learn the world does not revolve around them cause if they dont , when they grow up they wont know how to deal with the fact that most other people on a day to day basis dont give a F**K about your problems......Basically I can sum it up like this , They are kids for about 15% of there lives & adult the other 85% , so the way I see it is "you dont have kids , you have adults in trainning"

The parents until they are 18 and both until they are 25 and after that it's up to the child to grow.
