Go to Pets Mart or Petco etc and get a book on Pomeranians as far as I know they are the longest living Pups in the world I have an older book that says they can live to be 18-22yrs old and I have met people that have had thier poms even longer, like 25 and had just begun to take a medication for his heart.I have a 16 yr old that runs and plays with the puppies and other dogs,He is gorgeous and you would never know he was 16 yrs old.E-mail me and i will send you some photos. They are the best pets ever.

Ours was 19 when she died (actual years, don't know what that works out in dog years, but I think it's pretty old). That's probably no where near the oldest ever though.

Bubble boy, I've got news for you ... you're a record breaker. Found this on a search for oldest dog ever:

The oldest dog on record was an Australian cattle dog named Bluey, who died in 1939 at the age of 29.

"The life expectancy of dogs has increased almost as dramatically as that of humans over the last century. This is attributed to better diets, better health care, and better living and working environments for dogs.

The oldest dog on record was Bluey, an Australian Cattle Dog, who died at 29 in 1939. In the 2000s, at least two dogs were vying for the record at 27 or 28 years old, one fed a vegetarian diet[4] and one fed primarily on kangaroo and emu meat[5]."

My last dog was 19. Even then he had to be put to sleep else I think he would have still been here! He had a front leg amputated at 3 years old...he was a brilliant dog!

Some friends of ours had a dog that was part white german shephard and part wolf and he lived to be 22 years old. He was a really great dog.
