Turkey is a lot a lot inexpensive! it is going an prolonged way. I have 10 people residing contained contained in the residing residing house now, so cooking an total (small) turkey is a diverse circumstances a three hundred and sixty 5 days journey. It does not take diverse tending, really a low and sluggish oven and an all day technique. If i purchase it at 29 cents a pound or more effective decrease priced, i'm waiting to apply quite plenty all of it for food. From turkey breasts to using the gizzards for gravy to cooking down the bones for broth for soup. a lot inexpensive and very sturdy. I consistently have a turkey contained contained in the freezer.

When I lived on the other side of the country from my family, I used to get together with friends on the holidays. You could all get together and make your own Thanksgiving...it would be fun. If everyone has plans, I'm surprised that no one has invited you to join them with their family. If you are alone, and I've had a few like that too, watch all of the festivities on tv and be thankful for your life, your home and your blessings. There is always alot to be thankful for.

Thanksgiving is not only for family but for friends to get together. The most important thing is to remember what you have to be thankful for. My table will be surround with friends such as yourself amongst my family. I consider so of my friends more family than the ones kin by blood. Family is made in the heart not by blood lines.
Just give your girlfriend a call, and ask her if you were suppose to pick her up, or was she picking you up. And ask her if there is anything you could bring. You could offer to pick up something or make something to contribute to the festivities. There is nothing wrong in asking this way, that way it won't embarrass her that she has "forgotten" her invite.
I truely hope that you will do this, and enjoy the day with friends.
Remember family doesn't have to be related by birth, it's made with the heart!
God bless us all......................

i woud ask again. i have spent about 10 years living far away form my family and always spending thanksgiving at someones house. chances are that she either forgot she asked...which is not a bad thing...or thought that since you have not mentioned it that you have other plans. Just say, "hey are we still on for thanks giving this year?" Good luck!

Anyone can be your family....they dont have to be related, spend it with people that you love and care about. Friends, nieghbors, co-workers, I'm sure one of these people would love for you to share the day with them, if you dont get an invite, plan the meal at your place and invite them.

If indeed she had asked you as you said then ask her what time she wants there. As far as this day, I am spending it with my dear friend, who is in my mind my family of the heart.
