they dont believe yeshua is messiah... and.. well it really depends on the person... how religious they are...
for one are we talking jew by blood? or religion? there are non religious jews that were born jews...
jew as race vs religion... i know its a big mess and the orthodoxy dont want ppl to claim to be jews if they arent religious... but hey we look a certain way act a certain way and have traditions of a certain type... thats a race :D
we are good with money... and jewels... and love bagels... have big noses... dont trust christians so much... think catholics and christians are the same thing...
we vote in record numbers for communist socialist liberal morons that usually hate us as a race...
we are very closely knit... i know i will always have a ally with another jew that loves israel... and when it comes to it someday we will only have eachother... and possibly the REAL christian to turn to.
I love being a jew the traditions the customs the language... I am proud of my heritage and my people... as for the best part... we are the chosen... chosen by the creator to be his people.. no other people does he protect and keep as much as us... even when we turn on him...
hope that helps... our new year is rosh hashanah we have a few high holy days... your best bet is to find a nice jewish site and read all about our customs and holidays... like on purim we get wassted....
that is the story of esther... book of esther in the tanakh or bible old testmament.... torah is the first five books... ramsey... genesis exodus leviticus numbers and deuteronomy.

Well, I think if you were to read the Old Testament, aka Torah of the Jews; you'd get some insight, ma'am.
However, I'm not too sure that American Jews are very much in to their Religion, ma'am.
My Jewish friends are Americans, ma'am; and they aren't really in to Judaism.
If I were you, I'd just be myself, ma'am. That would be better appreciated.
My lady friends and I have never really bothered to find out about our Faiths.
Have a nice day.
PS,
If he wears the skull cap, called the "yarmulke", then, he's likely to be a practicing Jew. My friends weren't.

It also depends on what Jewish religion he belongs to. They are as fragmented as Christians. Talk to a Rabbi.

Why don't you ask him what he believes since there are vast caverns between what Jewish people believe and practice in any given synagogue.
