how do you view people who are not Christians? What has led to this worldview?
Is it the same whether it's someone you've never met or that annoying guy across the street with the dog who barks all night or an angry atheist on Y!A? Why or why not?

lovebird: From what I have been led to believe, Christianity doesn't believe that. I'm just trying to figure out the difference between the two from that point of view.

Dee: I am not equating them with an annoying neighbor. Read the question carefully.

I view all people the same. Christian, athiest, straight,gay,black,white...whatever. We are all gods children. We all make mistakes, and we all have good in our hearts. As someone who in my younger days was a bit of a trouble maker, and had my problems with addiction I have been judged by many, and could not do that to others at this point in my life

People tend to get caught up in their belief system and not look at any other belief system as being a possible option. I have found that in this forum everyone seems to be at odds with each other. I view the other people in the world who are not Christians as simply people. I view all people as simply people. Non Christians don't annoy me, the ones who are extremely rude or use vulgarity as a shock mechanism make me feel sad for them. They are also a great example of why I would not want to hold their belief system. The most amazing thing to me is that some(not all) of the atheist that post on here or answer questions are as zealous in their crusade to change the minds of the believers as they say the believers are to change theirs!LOL. It is such a double standard.

AS a Christian I view non Christians as people who have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. No, I don't think of non believers as annoying, if you walk by a person on the street on your way to the store, there is no way you'd know what their personal beliefs are. So, equating them with an annoying neighbor is like comparing apples and oranges.
If a person doesn't know Christ or doesn't want to know Christ that is their own personal loss, how could that annoy anyone else?

I used to be a christian but found it too limiting and I didnt like the us and them attitude. I still have some of my old christian friends and we are close. Some christians view non-christians as lesser people, others dont. It depends on the individual. But all christians (that I know) believe in the heaven/hell thing, and only christians go to heaven and non-christians go to hell. Sorry, I cant buy that.

I would love all men, Christians and not Christians, because they are all the children of the One True God.
I try my best to repent from sins and to serve mankind until the time they themselves will learn to serve other people.
If I get angry with anything, it is my sin, I must pray for forgiveness and try to adopt a more peaceful attitude. I have to try, and try all my life, because I can never become perfect.

I view non-Christians and Christians (I'm a fallen Catholic) as individuals first. If they wear their beliefs like a coat of armor that they feel is impregnable, I get my back up. If they feel they are absolutely certain that their beliefs are unimpeachable, I become suspicious and mischievous.

Christians are called to love people, help people, show compassion...But we believe that there are only two classes of people on earth...the saved and the unsaved.....But only God knows who is in which class... and so we called to pray for the unsaved, share the "good news" with the unsaved....We are called to gather together with other believers, praying, singing, praising God.....

I am Christian and i really don't care if other people are not. i think that everyone has right to other religions. i think we should care of people's personality, not religion.
