but the salesman said he would not be "jewed" down on the price,is that considered a racist slur?

I wouldn't make a federal case out of it.....maybe he said "chewed" & you misunderstood.
Or maybe he is an idiot who didn't use his brain before opening his mouth,
In either case if you really want the car, talk to the sales manager, & see if a price is negotiable.
(I would also mention the salespersons poor choice of words. In any case, maybe they don't know that thier sales staff is useing inappropiate terminology)

It's not racist, but it is an epithet against a particular faith. Not only would I not purchase there, I'd let the salesman's superior (if any) know exactly why.
Some people just weren't raised right. Oy.

i dont think so, in the terms of buying a car if you tried to lower the price then the sales man may have seen this as an insult, the word 'jewed' in that sense means that he will not be pursuaded or it is not in his power. hope it helps

Well it actually kinda means that he would not tolerate any form of bargaining so I don't really think it is racist.
