Hi, there is no real description of Hell in holy scripture beyond that of a place of fiery torment, strangely though there exists a remarkable similarity between Dante`s description and another description that 3 Portuguese children reportedly had in the village of Fatima in 1917, and these children lived in the isolated serra mountains and were illiterate.
if as suspected that Dante`s experience of Hell was an authentic vision experience then this two events are quite similar indeed.

Dante's hell depicts a place of burning torment for those who have died. That goes against Bible teaching. It says that hell is the common grave of mankind. To experience any kind of sensation, you must be conscious. But Eccl. 9:5 says: "...as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."
