You might not be letting your straightening iron get hot enough. Or it might be because you are doing too much hair at one time. Try this tip. It may be time consuming but worth it. Pin up all your hair except for the bottom layer. Then take a small section of it and straighten it. Once you get the bottom layer done take down the next layer. And you repeat these steps until your hair is completely straight. Hope everything works out for you.

You may have hair like mine.. mine is so thick that even when i blow dry my hair and it feel dry it really isn't and once the heat from they dryer has set up i can tell its not.. what i was taught was dry it then style it.. so basicly if you tried serum, and you part your hair into sections , and straightened it with a flat iron.. try just using a flat brush and drying longer than you usually would then do the flat iron.. also always spray a protector on there. hope it helps

A good flat ironing done using a heat protectant of some kind. Even caucasian women like the olive oil sheen.. its ok if it stinks while your straightening it. Finish up with silicone drops by paul mitchell or super skinny. Very good for shine and frizz control.
