As he landed in Brazil after Wednesday's friendly game against Switzerland, which the South American team won 2-1, Dunga replied to a young boy who asked him why Ronaldinho had not played from the start.
"Did you see the game? Did you like his performance in the second half? Do you think he is fit at this moment?" the coach asked back.
NOW THIS IS RUDE!!!!
"Ronaldinho's quality is unquestionable. That is why he is getting chances. But he is still coming out of a period of inactivity, without appropriate training," the coach explained.
COME ON!!! NOW HOW CAN RONNIE LOSE WEIGHT IF HE IS PUT ON THE BENCH???!!!
he lost three-kilos for God sake!!! let the magician play!!!!

well i dont like it either how dunga leaves ronaldinho on the bench but he says its because he doesnt want to pressure ronnie and alot of other crap i think that if dunga is gonna have him benched he might as well not invite him to play for brasil because if dunga says alot of stuff about him why does he have him in the team???ronnie should play in brasil until he thinks hes ready....

''Dunga told reporters that he thinks pressure on him to put Ronaldinho in the starting lineup is natural, but added that if he gave in he would be violating his own principle of playing those who are performing at their best.

"Ronaldinho's quality is unquestionable. That is why he is getting chances. But he is still coming out of a period of inactivity, without appropriate training," the coach explained.''

I agree with him, Brazil has a lot of very good players, Ronaldinho is the best in the world at the moment, BUT not on the international competitions!!!! What's the point having him in the starting line-up, when he is not playing good, he will have his chances, just like Dunga said!!!! We must be patient with Ronaldinho, he wasn't best player in the world for last two season with no reason......... those kind of things are making him only stronger and better player and now when he is not in starting line-up any more, he will be more motivated and goals will come!!!!!

well i'd hav luved ronnie 2 play but i think Dunga is right (though he should not hav said it in a mean way) ronnie is not fit right now lik they say there is a time 4 everything and i just think it is not his time 2 shine right now but i hope and pray he would come back 2 life soon. Ronaldinho is the best and we all know that honey there is no need 2 worry i was furious at his performance at first but i then realized NO ONE IS PERFECT
p.s. nice Q thumbs UP!
yes i know i havent been here regularly i'll try

I dont think it's cause of that, these last games they have been playing are meaningless, there friendlies nothing to risk getting injured over, plus i think Dunga is trying to find his mix of young players to become regulars on the national team, once the games start to mean something like the copa america and qualifing matches, you will see ronaldinho play a more prominet role for the national team, he's not out of shape he's tied for first in scoring in la Liga, there just trying to keep him healthy, we all know that Barcelona doesn't need another injury to there team, especially there main star....

I don't see anything wrong with the coaches reasoning and I doubt the response to the little boy was said in a rude manner. Are you sure your talking about the right "RONNIE"...!?! I know Ronaldo has been told to shift the excess kilos but I never heard that Ronaldinho had to. I think the coach lnows his squad a hell of a lot better than you or a little boy!!
