Yes. Getting rich is the hard part.

General rule to make life easier: spend less than you earn.

Generally, the answer is yes; being rich definitely makes life easier. However, this only applies to rich people with 'character' and intelligence; which most rich people absolutely lack, unless they made their wealth themselves.
Growing up on welfare and foodstamps, I've found life wonderful. Where the rich people struggled with their own personal inadequacies, I prevailed with the education that abuse, neglect, and malnutrition bring.
Life is emotionally harder on rich people, because they do not normally have to deal with such things; that is to say, their people-skills are lacking. Generally, rich people attempt to cover their every flaw with money.
Again, this does not apply to those who worked for their wealth. They are very much different.
If you were to, say, grow up with difficulties and gain character and knowledge along the way, and suddenly come into a large sum of money, whether through your job or through the lottery, life would indeed be easier.
This does not, of course, take into consideration all the legal matters that arise with large sums of money. Since you have money, more people will try to take what you have. This is one of the disadvantages to being rich.
Other than that, there's not much else to say. People who work hard are the true 'winners.'

No. It's easier to spell simple words correctly. Capitalizing the first word in a sentence is also easier than being rich. /// So is giving a thumbs-down to an answer you know is right.

Sure, it is. You can pay for whatever you want, you can own a nice home, and you can make it without getting married. Whoever said that money can't buy happiness was a total moron.
