Depends on your life stage and future securities. Still using all the money is certainly not advisable. If you are young, you can calculate rough estimate of your expenses for two years may be and spend the rest on your world tour and start working after you come back from the trip but if you are old you have to ensure that you get enough cash after your retirement to spend for your basic expenses at least and only spend the rest on the trip. Many people will get surprised if they start exploring their own city, state and country before embarking on a world tour. There is so much to see and know right next to us that we keep ignoring and long to see things across the world.

there are places that are nice and wonderful but are not too expensive. beaches are the most common natural attractions in the world but if it is in the middle of the dessert, then it wud cost u a lot. I suggest if you want nice beaches or island vacation, you go to places in the tropics... the foremost concern for a good value trip or travel is that how comfortable and how you enjoy your trip. check out this places... you may like it...

And then after you get back, how will you rebuild your savings AND how long will it take. Too risky, unless you only have a few months to live, in which case I would say have a wonderful trip!!

I'd say go for it, if you have a strong desire to see the world. You might die tomorrow, then you won't see the world, and your kids will get the money you've worked all your life for, and they'll probably spend it on drugs and stuff. so just do it.
