"There is always a need for intoxication: China has
opium, Is**m has hashish, the West has woman."
André Malraux
(1901-1976)

"Heroin is very addictive but does not itself cause any
serious illnesses, nor does it harm any organs or tissues"
Dr Ben Goldacre

"I am engulfed, and drown deliciously
Soft music like a perfume, and sweet light
Golden with audible colours exquisite,
Swathe me with cerements for eternity.
Times is no more. I pause and yet I flee.
A million ages wrap me round with night.
I drain a milion ages of delight.
I hold the future in my memory.

Also, I have this garret which I rent,
This bed of straw, and this that was a chair,
This worn-out body like a tattered tent,
This crust, of which the rats have eaten part,
This pipe of opium; rage, remorse, despair;
This soul at pawn and this delirious heart."
Arthur Symons

I feel like i am in God's warmest blanket.

yeah yeah, "causes no harm" right...
Why in the H do the people have AIDS?
Why are there people in jail for what shoul dhave been the best years of their lives-could it be the crime to support that wonderful stuff inspiring fake poems?
Heroin is not taken bya nice clean capsule swallowed you know... ONe doesn't pick it up on the corner pharmacy by a smiling efficient clerk in a sanitary tamper proof bottle.
Tampering has been done to the profiteers fancy-cut with whatever is at hand.
Picture the new mom drugged on Methadone to get off the heroin, falling asleep in the chair holding a drug withdrawing newborn who is in agony -who itself must be drugged again for weeks/months...at the public's expense all of this-the newborn is about to fall out of their arms to the floor due to their lethargy. But thee main concern of the mom is when the next dose is coming for her and can the dose be increased?,it's not enough.
You dont get to look the devil in the eye that often but in this case you do.

That is not actually true

Repeated injection damages the veins.

Being a heroin addict isn't a bed of roses, it causes mental health problems.

Good luck with trying to get off it.

I hate how the 'tolerance' levels seem to always rise. I've been known to have a 'high' tolerance for certain substances at one time the real question is 'how can you quit the down'?????
