When you win at any game, it shows that you are good in that game hence you are a "Good Sport."
However the term "Good Sport" also means the opposite of a sore loser.
Therefore being a "Good Sport" means that you are able to lose graciously and the only way to prove that you are able to accept defeat without being a sore loser is to lose the game.
This(losing) is the "only bad part" of the game because no one really likes to lose!

(PS i hope you understand!!)

It is a paradox; a "good sport" is a term for someone who plays for the game, rather than to win - really, to be a good sport you can still win, but you do not make others feel bad about losing.

It's just but a natural reaction to feel bad upon loosing...but you can be a good sport by showing that feeling of acceptance and resignation to the fact that you can not win games at all times.

a good sport is someone who can lose graciously... this quote is saying that in order to prove that you're a good sport, you have to lose.
