I'm preparing for SPM, a major exam in Malaysia. This topic; "Smoking" is pretty hot for the Malay Language - essay writing examination which would start in 15 hours. I've been cracking my head over this but I simply can't think of anything that isn't health-related.

Anyone has any ideas?

"Smoking" is a hot topic, where 'hot' means 'popular / most likely', not 'smoking hot' or anything like that.

Smoking is not just an addiction it is a habit. I agree cold turkey is the only way to go, but find something to replace holding that cigarette. Take up a hobby or do crosswords, anything to keep your hands busy. When you get a craving you can't deal with do something physical. Go for a walk, exercise, clean a closet or the garage. Keep lots of sugarless gum on hand and chew it instead of a cigarette. Keep cleaned and snack size veggies in the fridge to snack on. Use the patch if you have to and you may have to because you smoked so much. Every day it will get easier. I'm not saying you will never crave a smoke again after you quit, but when you do then do something just like you did when quitting and after a few minutes the craving will go away.
