then why do scientists absolutely refuse to acknowledge that God exists? Do they think that God doesn't exist and that the Bible is just a bunch of fairy tales solely because they care more about always trying to prove themselves right whether they are or not than they do about what is and isn't truthful?

I asked the same question myself. There's a thorough discussion about that at http://www.ibelieve.com/m_1647829/mpage_1/tm.htm where you can go and check out. Maybe you'll learn a thing or two.

You don't understand the scientific process. Based on observed phenomenon, a best guess is created, then evidence and experiments either support or not support the hypothesis. Once enough evidence is gathered, a conclusion is drawn, representing the scientist belief as to why the phenomenon happened. It is possible the evidence is not conclusive, so either more research is needed, or the hypothesis needs to be reworked.

Science is all probabilities. To scientists, other explanations are more probable than a supreme being or whatever you want to call it. Nothing is ever totally excluded as a possibility, even Flying Spaghetti Monsters. There has been research into explaining the events of the Bible in a logical, Earthly manner, and of course it was very successful (earthquakes, major volcanic activity coinciding with Biblical events, meteor showers, fossil records, plagues and their symptoms)

Atheists aren't out to disprove God. They seek an understanding of the world that satisfies them in the same way God satisfies you.

Scientists do NOT refuse to acknowledge that God exists. They see the Bible as an ancient book just like any other ancient book. If irrefutable evidence were to be discovered that proved God exists, evidence that can be repeatedly tested, then scientists would eventually declare that a god exists.

A story is not evidence. An account may be true, but if there is no physical, testable evidence to back it up, then it cannot be considered fact by scientific standards.

Keep in mind that every religion claims that their 'god' really exists and is the 'true' god. This obviously can not be the case, therefore, for science to declare anyone's god as existant, they need evidence and tests, simple as that.

The dummy pills must be working. You need to understand that the bible really is just a bunch of fairy tales and that you are mentally ill. I believe in God. I'm a scientist and have no need to acknowledge God in my work. Understand that the bible has nothing to do with God, nothing, and in fact separates man from God. Although many of its tenants are sound, many are ludicrous. That is the real truth. I hope you recover from your mental illness, because God is a living thing that can be personally in your life without any sort of mediator.

Scientists are different individuals, some with ulterior motives, but many are unbiased in their search for truth. Scientists disagreeing with things written in your Holy Books does not give you the right to go around and say "The scientist is leading us to hell and eternal damnation!"

Damn it, why do the evangelicals keep insulting us? Don't you have anything better to do than preach on yahoo?

We search for the truth. We want to find it so badly that we will learn things that we don't necessarily want to know and test things we hope in the bottom of our hearts are true.

Sucks that no one has been able to prove God's existence, but that's the way it is.

I converted to Islam because of my search for truth. The hundreds of scientific miracles in it are what did it for me. Values, Morals, Justice, and the fact that scientists have used the Quran, found the science in it, used it in comparison with their findings, and later converted.

The foundation for modern science (based on experimental study, precise observations and verification) was established under Islam tenet) when the west were in its dark ages.

I love how very smart & enlightened you think you are.
No wonder you're so angry......too much church and too little social interaction with real people in the real world.
Cheer up dude. Be a little more accepting and kind. A little less judgemental. You may discover that there is so much more to people.... than who, or what they pray to.

Science is based on evidence. Currently there is no real evidence of God. It's really that simple.
