I haven't made stuffed green peppers in so long and I can't remember if I am supposed to cook the meat before stuffing and cooking the peppers. It seems like the meat would come out overcooked that way.

Yes, but don't expect it to be done quickly. The beef will take a long time to cook though.

Stuffed Bell Peppers are AWESOME!!!!

Yes, without a doubt, but you should par boil and blanche the peppers, they are what takes the most time to cook thouroghly.
If you cook the meat first, the meat is done.

You would have to cook the peppers long enough to cook the beef.

Cooking it first is much better for me since I don't have to deal with the grease that ground beef produces as it cooks inside of my peppers.

I stuff them with the raw meat mix and the cook. I don't use rice in the mix, so they come out like meatloaf wrapped in peppers.

No you cook the ingredients together before stuffing the peppers

That's how I do it...raw I mean LOL Then again lately I have just done up the meat mix, cut up the peppers into strips, sauteed it all together and served it over rice.

I would cook it personally or you could try it both ways and see which is best.

most definitely cooking the ingredients first will dry out the dish always use fresh ingredients for a more moist texture mmmmmmmm

It's ok, because you will be cooking them throughly. I made it before, so it's fine.
