Children should be in contact with nature, they should learn how to appreciate it, the world is beautiful outside, kids should spend their time outdoor exploring and playing.
If the weather outside is too cold, there are many indoor games that are much better than video games which is bad for their eyes and makes them lazy
Bowling is a lovely activity, table tennis, indoor skating
if not much into sports then reading is the best thing to do

It depends on how old the children are. You can search the web for craft ideas for all ages. You can try getting them involved in sports. Try taking walks together. Take them to a park where they can play. If they are old enough they can join a Boys & Girls Club. See what the school offers for after school activities. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are another option. If you go to church or know a friend with kids that does, maybe they have activies that your kids would like.
