Believe me, your cat knows that the rubber toy is NOT real. She is simply satisfying her predator "tick" and finds the toy convenient. As for her "screaming," she is simply advertising to the other cats that she has made a "kill" - that's part of the game. Be glad that your cat has found something to play with - though I hope you take the toy away before she actually takes a chunk off it and eats it - rubber is NOT healthy for cats :)

She's trying to teach them how to hunt. I've been around cats for 45 yrs. Trust me thats all she's doing. Sometimes after they do hunt {if their an outside cat} They will bring back their catch to feed their babies, this is also a way to teach them to hunt.

Your cat does not "scream" for her adult babies (yes you spelled it incorrectly) to come and do anything. You know nothing about cat behavior and I only hope you don't own one.

maybe she used to catch live prey when her kittens were young.
1 alternative would be to give her live food to catch outside, like giving her a mouse to catch when she's out side, although this isn't exactly pleasant, or cheap.
hope i could help
