I actually think it's because you loose the color pigmentation in the hair follicle. Though stress and worry can contribute to it.
I found my first gray hair at 22. Now I'm twice that age but don't have the gray hair that I thought I would. About 10% now.

Alot depends on Genetics, when did you father better yet grandfather go gray? Diabetes has an effect on going grey early. I am 34 (female) and I am about to give up on coloring my hair. It's hard that I could pass for 25 if I didn't have these stinking hairs!!

I think so Im 18 and that i started getting grays once I used to be like 15 its also in the genes when you consider that my grandmother became grey at a young age too. However some advice do not pluck them in view that 4 more will develop again in.

If you stress a lot or it could just be genetics. Did your parents get gray hair early?

I think stress causes the grey hair not your lifestyle.
