I checked my gunmarks book. I found nothing for that proofmark. Ae the crown and "G" together as one or separate? The 6.4mm equates to .25 caliber. Are you sure you do not have a .25 rimfire? Many thousands were made in the states in the early decades of the 20th century. Email me and I will check other sources in my library.

There were an awful lot of this type of rifle made, of widely varying quality. You might consider joining the NRA and taking advantage of their expertise. They have experts (or access to them) that can identify antique arms. The 6.4 mm designation indicates European manufacture, and the crown over G proof mark suggests English to me. Don't take that as gospel, though. I'm no expert. There were many small manufacturers years ago. If you intend to shoot it, have a gunsmith look it over first. An older gun may have been made for black powder shells, not modern ammunition.
