It's not taboo but it is almost always a bad idea, especially if you work closely together or are in supervisor role over her. Besides how uncomfortable things would get if things went badly there is the potential for law suits. Proceed with extreme cation.

I dated a co-worker and we have been married for over 16 years. A pretty good marriage I think. The dating aspect of the relationship was really never anything but cordial and without complications. During work we never spent time together. We met after work in a restaurant or store and spent the evening together. The other employees knew we were seeing each other but no one ever said a word about our relationship.

Absolutely No! Don't do it.It can cause so many problems in the work environment. What happens if you two begin to see each other and one becomes jealous when seeing the other flirting or talking to another coworker.Or just being able to concentrate on your work sometimes becomes a difficult thing. Not to mention that it's just not a very good practice professionally. You could be accused of favoritism towards the other person because of dating them. Not a good thing to do.

Not really, but it should be. You didn't come to work to meet a partner, did you? Only secretaries in the 50's did that. Just focus on your job and wait for a relationship that carries less of an office gossip/boss trouble risk.

OF COURSE!! OVERTIME U WILL DEVELOP FEELINGS 4 THAT PERSON BECAUSE LET'S FACE IT, U C THEM ALL THE TIME AND U R ONLY HUMAN AND JEALOUSY WILL ARISE AND LET'S NOT FORGET ABOUT THE HATERS. SO U HAVE ALTO OF THINGS WORKING AGAINST THAT RELATIONSHIP. SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEARTACHE AND DON'T DO IT UNLESS BOTH OF U ARE STRONG AND READY FOR ALL THE STRINGS THAT COME ALONG WITH IT.
