is it just the Christians that are rich? and the non Christians that are poor?
If God wanted me to be rich then I guess that I am, but not in material wealth, I have my health, and a family that loves me, I have peace of mind, and I live better than i did when I did not have a house, or electricity, or running water, It sure seem like more that only 18 months ago, so I guess i am rich. thank you for reminding me.

It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.
I can't tell you where in the Bible it is, but I accept it wholly. "The Eye of the Needle" was the smallest gate into ancient Jerusalem, being something of a squeeze for an unloaded camel. The richer the man, the more loaded the camel, & the more difficult to squeeze through the gate. There are many other such examples. Many of Jesus' teachings about the poor. He never said, "Blessed are the rich ." as an example. "Love of money is the root of all evil" , is where all the poverty comes from to begin with.
It seems to be a human trait that the less people have, the more grateful & generous they are with what they have: time, attention, love, a greater happiness, this old computer I would not have w/o someone else's generosity which replaced the one I gave away rather than threw away because someone needed it worse than the trash can did, a smile or thank-you, the attitude of giving w/o expecting any return, the peace of mind knowing no one can take what you do not have, buying that coffee for someone who needs it worse than you need the change. Losing what I had was no fun, but with the help of others who also had little, I learned to be a better person who likes himself today. It is the best thing that ever happened to me.
In case no one is listening, God is not on America's side because America is not on God's side. Most of us are too busy loving money to love God & their fellow humans.

God is an awesome God. God takes care of his own.But it's the ones that has trusted in him and put there lives in his care. in other words has accepted the lord in there heart that means. You have to be saved to be a child of God.
God gives you a choice to accept him its not the Lords fault that so many bad things happen to people yes everyone wants to blame the Lord. but he is not the cause Bad things happen to Christians to and its all bast on faith. How much faith do you have in the Lord? The world will end in a very bad way. It's in The Book Of Revelations and it's the only book in the world that has been written that tells you how the world will end and only a Christian that has accepted the Lord has read it and can understand the Bible.A unchristian cant understand the Bible because they don't know Jesus. I hope i did more then help you.
God Bless!

The Bible says the poor will always be among you.
Are Christians supposed to fix all of the world's problems?
There are many many rich people in the world, why aren't they all being held to task on this.
Why are there so many rich Athiests, or any other religion, but still so much poverty?

Christians can't be everything to all people. We do what we can. There are many more people who are wealthy that do not even acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Saviour. If they pooled their resources as well, I am sure poverty(especially in the United States) would be a thing of the past. May God Bless

That's certainly a good question. More Christians should definitely donate more. Though I will not and can no apologize for every single one of them , I will politely point to the unmistakable fact that more philanthropies have been done in the name of Christ than any other organization in the history of the world.
So the next time that you find yourself in a hospital named St. Joseph's or the countless others established for His Glory, be sure to thank a Christian for his/her open heart.
I pray every day Christ will come back and make the whole world whole again. We are certainly a broken and fallen humanity.

Christians have every right to be rich.
The church, the building, the organization that calls itself a religion.....should be held accountable for being rich when there are hungry and homeless people sitting in their parking lot or walking past the building that states it's representation of God.
It's not the Christian that should be denied....it's the hypocrisy of the organization.
Just an opinion.
Peace!

I have a solution to the poverty end of this question. I think all Christian groups should sell their holdings, ie. properties, buildings (churches), christian campgrounds, and so on. And donate all the money to the poor and starving in the world. There, we've solved two problems at the same time.
