Your reply is hidden in the following surahs and for those also who believe that Islam is a religion of unjust.

Allah is the name of mercy and mercy alone who forgives unintentional misdeeds.

" And my mercy encompasseth all things." The quran,[ 7:156]

" We have not sent thee , O Mohammad, but [as] a mercy unto all creatures."-- The Quran,[xxi, p-326]

" Whosoever is kind to to God's creatures, Allah is kind to him."--The Quran

" All his creatures are Allah's family for thier subsistance is from him, therefore the most beloved of Allah is the person who does greatest good to Allah's creatures."--The Quran

Allah surely loves justice......

" Invite (people) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful Preaching, and argue with them in the best ways."Quran [16:125]

"And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the word of God, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. "(The Qur’an 9:6)

and in the (109)Al-Kafirun:

[1] Say: O ye that reject Faith!
[2] I worship not that which ye worship,
[3] Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
[4] And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,
[5] Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

" Make peace among them with justice and act equitably, surely Allah loves those who act equitably."--The Quran [49:9]

This is for Alex.....and others..

My dear it depends on the mindset of a person who chooses and praises not the Rose but the thorns, which are as essential as the beautiful flower itself.

Its means no matter how much you pray for someone who have died in a state of disbelief and lead a life of wrong doing, they will still will be punished and there is nothing you can do about it.

For an example: A Guy who murders people and is put to death and has no remorse and doesn't ask for forgiveness. If you prayed for him, you would not save him from the Hell Fire if that's what he earned.

However, if you prayed for a believer, more blessing would be awarded to him, because goodness multiplies.

This is the meaning from http://www.altafsir.com
(It is not for the Prophet) it is not permissible for Muhammad (pbuh) (and those who believe) in Muhammad (pbuh) and in the Qur'an, (to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though they may be near of kin (to them) after it hath become clear that they are people of Hell fire) i.e. that they have died in a state of disbelief.

You have to know that Christian and Jew are in the Quran stated as the people of the book and not idolaters.

i believe that quotes out of context can be misleading...
the quote sounds harsh but in truth might be explaining to them something that makes perfect sense to all.
in my view most religious books i have read can be quoted out of context wonderfully so that it seem they are one thing or the other.

it urges them not to pray for unbelievers and not waste time with them. the point that they have been told for me means that since someone has been told of the consequences in not believing they are free to choose and do as they will with their lives and souls.

have a nice day

Awarded hell for not believing? Sounds like the usual pile of oppressive pish. All religion is church and state led control freakery. This just proves it.

all of the monotheistic faiths teach that there is no salvation without God. This may be different if your family was Christian or Jewish.... but if they did not believe in One God, then by the standards of all the Abrahamic faiths they would go to Hell

The verse is talking about DEAD nonebelievers. Obviously there is no point in praying for them because they died as nonebelievers, so they are going to hell.

to me it seems that the statement implies that islam is not a loving religion, and that allah is without mercy. it also seems to imply that if this were true then islam would not be a living religion, it would be pointless to bare witness to the world. i would like to see this in the context of the scriptures it was written.
