The messages Jesus gave us contain no threats.

The message of many religious leaders down through history, especially the present day, carry a threatening message. That has nothing to do with Jesus. It has everything to do with that person's greed for money.

A perversion of the gift of communication given to them from God. What is surprising, many of them really believe what they are telling people is true. It's all rather sad.

What is even more sad, is there are so many people with a spiritual thirst that buy into the bogus message these "preachers" deliver.

The whole concept is a flat out insult to God/Jesus. Hell is reserved for people who really DESERVE it, not just all normal, caring, good people who just didn't believe in Christianity. The way you live your life and how you treat people will determine where you go when you die, and you will only go to hell if you do truly evil things in your lifetime and cause real pain to people on purpose. People forget that how you treat other people is really the most important thing of all.

Who dont accept him? Jesus doesnt threaten, i do not believe. I believe everyone suffers throughout there life sometime or another. I think that those who do not accept him (and/or believe) into their heart and ask for forgiveness will not be taken away into the rapture, and those left behind to burn on the earth and be tortured will have to accept 666. If they dont i think they will suffer greatly and will have that second chance to spiritually live forever

Only those that had the opportunity to know Jesus and rejected Him and His ways will suffer . I don't think that is mean at all because if someone had access to knowing all about Jesus and then they decided that they didn't want to live that way - if Jesus decides to send them to hell, that's within His right.
In the Bible it says that the road to heaven is narrow, your heart has to be in it to be able to stay on the narrow path.
The road to hell is wide because you can veer off every which way to do whatever you "want"

If people don't accept God nor believe that God existence then they have nothing to worry about because they don't believe they will suffer nor believe the existence of the place of suffering. People who don't believe cannot say that God is mean when they don't believe that he exists nor know him or an relationship with him. *(*

It is a warning not a threat. God is not willing that any should perish , but that all should come to repentance. He didn't have to come and hang on the cross and give you an easy choice to accept him, sounds like a pretty merciful guy if you ask me.

God Bless

Doesn't quite seem logical does it?

Those who quote bible scriptures to support this premise misunderstand the true teachings and the meaning of the scripture they are quoting.

ROD: That's not a good analogy. It's simplistic and silly.

If we are on death row and I get a key to get out,and when I offer you the key ,you say "no thanks,I'll figure my own way out",and you're due for execution in an hour,Don't you think that's a little dumb?

It sounds about as mean as that other religion whose adherents want to slit the throats of those who don't want to convert.
