Have you ever had a time in life where you took a break from religion ? Like stopped having faith in God ? What happened ? How did you come back to your faith ?

Hi, good question...I have just recently gone through some difficult times at my "former" church, and though I did not lose my faith, I did take a break from church, "organized religion". A very difficult time since worshipping God has alot to do with serving God and it's hard to serve Him if you aren't going somewhere. I honestly did struggle WITH my faith, but never stopped having my faith. Once you have that salvation through Jesus Christ, you can't lose it. I've always heard that if you're not close to God anymore, then you're the one that moved, not Him. what I did, I clung to Him, prayed to Him and let Him do His work in me. When I was ready, He was waiting. He is a patient, loving God.

Yes there has been a time in my life when I took a break. I have always had faith, but in this particular time of my life, I was depressed, my life was in shambles, and I had great loss (which is really the time to turn towards God) but I went the opposite! I didn't believe in the religion I had been raised in any longer and although I sought help from that church, I didn't receive it.
Later, I turned my life over to God, and never doubted my faith in God since then.

I lost 15 years of my life without God and I wish I could of known what I knew and experienced now back then. I was a former atheist for 15 yrs. This was a long enough break from God and I have no plans to turn back. *(*

Yes, I had such a time.
Break from religion does not men stopped believing, however.
I tanked. The Bible says God will not let us go. Ps. 121. So God brought me back through the briar patch.

Very good question,But i can't help you much for your problem with your friend because I have never had a situation like that but you could console and bring her back to the light side..

1 time it has happened 2 me but i keep my chin up and i knew that there had 2 b a god cause he waz always watching over me and my family.
