First off who ever said smoking was your friend has never had someone they love die from emphasyma.
As far as your depression there are ways to cope with it without drugs, prescribed or otherwise. Friends, Support groups, or Psychiatrist, Even the occasional Massage helps, physically as well as Mentally, and Emotionally. The eating disorder things is also a situation that can be dealt with with a psychiatrist. But you can also change your own mind about harming yourself in such a manner. We each have the ability to change our own minds.

I truly do not believe in the hotlines. Most of the volunteers are there for the good of the position, but they are not experienced enough themselves to relate with the caller.
Finding a good friend, or someone to talk to face to face. Being that it is night, and that is hard to find, just talking to anyone would help keep your mind off the things that are bothering.
Just find a chat room where someone will have a decent conversation with you (although I know that this is sometimes very hard to find.) Or chat with someone on here. Just being able to talk to someone, even if it isn't about the things that are hurting you, should be consolance to keep you healthy.
Afterwards, I think that you should look into joining a group or organization that will keep you socially active. Somewhere where you can have many different kinds of positive influences in your life. You can build a support group this way, and always have friends to help you when you are down.
Remember sweetie, everyone has hard times, even though it may be hard to think so at times. There are always sunny days and those where the wind won't stop blowing. You just need to take a deep breath, relax, and remember that you have a future and great things that you could accomplish in your life. The world always needs someone to make it a little better, a little brighter.
Keep your head up, and if you need someone to help support you in your time of need, you can always contact me as well. I will always try to answer you as soon as I can.
I hope you feel better soon, let me know if there is anything I can do for you...

Yes, just google anxiety, chat, or depression and chat and you'll find lots.
It's like that great Elton John song, "Too Low for Zero"
Been there!
You are in a bad patch right now but it will get better. Treat one thing at a time. Don't be so quick to dismiss a hotline, they are trained to help and you stay anonymous. Also if you have some money there are on-line counselors that might help or at least lead you in the right direction. Google online counseling.

Don't worry about the "smoking problem." Right now, smoking is your friend! You don't say if your are being treated for your depression, but I hope so. Here is a link to a forum that has a "just need someone to talk to" category. It's also a terrific web site for general information. Good luck to you, and please just hang in there a bit longer. It DOES get better. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel.

Please do reconsider telephoning the crisis hotline if need be. It is difficult sometimes, but it may benefit to talk to someone. There are some chat rooms where people correspond with each other regarding their problems. If you have a friend that is a good listener and willing to help, contact that person ASAP. Best wishes.

hi im sorry that u r having a rough time in your life, we all have been there i promise, the best thing to do i think is to put things in prospective, deal with each problem individually, i know its not the right time of year, but i just quit smoking after 17 years over half my life this past june, i did it by camping up in the mountains, isolating myself from society, and gas stations, and convenience stores, anywhere cigarettes are sold, for a week, i also ate fresh mint, it detoxifies nicotine from your system,im not sure what kind of eating disorder you have but as for depression, you can start by reducing the number of negative thoughts though self training methods, its not that easy and takes time but please don't give up there are people who genuinely do care, even though we may never meet i sincerely hope you will find a way to find beauty in life, for it truly is a gift, also there is no way to happiness, happiness is the way

There's a website called bipolarworld. On this website, there is a psychologist named David Schafer with a relationships column. He is very helpful. If you are suicidal, the Samaritans will help you. I believe if you google the word suicide, the first result should take you to the Samaritan website. They will stay in contact with you.
