A simple thing I have done is eat a very large heaping tablespoon of peanut butter. I don't really believe it's the peanut butter, but it causes a change in your breathing pattern long enough to disrupt the pattern. If nothing else, go to the ER and get thorazine. It usually helps.

2-days seems very very unusual. Why you havent seen a doctor yet, I dont know? You apparently have no care for your poor grandpa. I suggest he holds his breathe for as long as he can. As hes doing this, have him take breathes within breathes, till it hurts an he cant suck anymore air. Than, when he lets all the air go, repeat the same process almost instantly. Do this 4-5 times, an your cured. If that does not work... kill him. Obviously hes dying anyways or something. Who knows? Apparently you dont, nor the doctors, since you haven't gotten him checked out.

What i do is take a deep breath and hold it for 5 to 10 sec then release it slowly, if it doesn't work try releasing it slower. It workes about 95% of the time with me. ( only if he is in good enough health to do that)

This works for me everytime. Get a glass of water, bend over and drink the water from the opposite end. Drink from the side farthest from your mouth. It works everytime for me

Eat a tablespoon of peanut butter. Preferably creamy. It's worked for me in the past.

That's weird! Go to the doctor. Or get him to drink something upside down and plug his nose and then see?
