I know a family who live near Preston who have offered to accommodate me when I come to live in England from Australia. I am roughly trying to work out my money situation and it would be great if I had some idea of how much I would be looking at giving this family per week. Thanks.

WELL NOT THAT MUCH..AS PRESTON IS FURTHER NORTH...THE FURTHER NORTH YOU GO FROM LONDON ..THE CHEAPER IT IS..ASK THEM FIRST HOW MUCH ITS GOING TO COST YOU.

If you are just renting a room in a house, I would say about £40 per week (including bills) would be about right. Of course they may be much nicer and charge you less!
