Okay, the problem with Google Earth is that you have to download it and you need specific requirements. A website that you can see satellite pictures of you neighborhood is:
maps.live.com/

It's Windows Live Local. You don't have to download it.
It works great because you can see places with actual pictures, or just roads like a map, or a bird's eye view, as opposed to only seeing the roofs of buildings(boring). You can also rotate the map when in bird's eye view(North, East, South, and West. You can also place pushpins where ever you want and save those locations. It's also free

Google Earth is free too, but to get a better version, you have to pay.

Download googleearth. It has satellite images of the whole world! Rural areas aren't in good quality though, and if you're really unlucky, your place might be covered by a small wisp of cloud.

since u are requesting a WEBSITE, i would say google maps. google earth is awesome but depending on ur computer, it can get quite slow.
