It doesn't have to be materialistic..like a ring, or anything fancy. You should try to do (or make) something sentimental, and something that she will be able to remember whether it be 1 month or 5 years from now.

Don't get her anything big/expensive. Reason being, 3 months doesn't make it a serious relationship. Get her roses and a pretty notebook or something.
P.S. Oldies music is from the 40s/50s. The music your thinking of is classic rock. Stop being so young.

Download some of your favorite songs and make her a cd. Sounds crazy, but it's thoughtful and romantic and she will be pleased. Make yourself a copy and then tell her you did so that you can listen to it when your not together....
But in addition you should buy her something. Perhaps jewelry? Nothing too expensive, just nice and something she will wear. Does she like earings or necklaces? You could always get her a gift certificate to her favorite store.

You could get her a journal for her to write in. I love to write, and journals are always welcome for me to write stories in. And if you get that, then write a message on the inside cover, that would be sweet. You could also burn her a mixed tape with the kind of music she likes. That's personal.
