The Atheists wouldn't bother to tell us because they don't believe anything happens to our souls after death.
Of course I would be upset if I find out that someone else knows of a catastrophic event that's about to happen that I'm is not prepared for but COULD BE if the person was only concerned enough to let me know.
I refer to the rapture as catastrophic because of the events that will happen on earth as us Christians are all raptured out of here. It will be the most catastrophic global event to date. Other than the Great Flood that only Noah & his family survived. Speaking of Noah, I bet all those who laughed at him were pretty upset when the rain started falling. It hadn't rained until that time. Again - they had been warned about something they had never seen and had no idea how to imagine and their lack of faith caused their destruction.

A flawed question.
The only end-times an atheist would attest to is a natural disaster that affects the whole globe like a meteor collision. All anyone would have to do is pick up a newspaper, turn on a computer or TV or radio, walk into a store in a populated area and they would be informed. If it was a meteor, even the Amish can look up and see a large object in the sky.
And atheists would have data that could be retested and confirmed showing that an disaster was imminent. Not simply opinions.
Every generation of christians has believed that they lived in the end-times. They've all been wrong. And it's pretty arrogant of you to assume you're one of the last generation. Read some history that's not written inside a textbook. That hasn't been sanitized for your protection. The world has seen much more wretched times in the past.

After reading most of the answers. It is obvious that most Atheists really aren't aware of what the end time is! Or what it really means. It isn't the end of the world, it's an end to the world as we know it. Most of the Prophecies about the end times has already occurred. Only two maybe three yet to happen. The 36 month war I believe has just started. So there for it is very near!
As far as the Atheists knowing it was near - That would mean they would have to believe in Prophecy and since prophecy comes from GOD. Then How on earth could they know. I think however that Christians would have been told by God already, as is the case now. So they would already know what was coming! You see it all falls back to the belief in God! God is the creator of the planet and is the orchestrator of the end times in order to fulfill the measure of creation for this planet. There has to be a beginning and an end of everything. After supporting the Human Race and all of our misgivings, I think this poor planet deserves a rest and the glory it will receive as it's reward for fulfilling it's obligations!

Atheists wouldn't really believe in an end of times because they have no religion however scientists might predict one. In fact, they already have.
Our sun right now is in it's main sequence where it's primary source of energy is the fusion of Hydrogen atoms. It has been in this stage for about 4.6 billion years and will continue for another 4.6 billion years until it runs out of Hydrogen and begins to burn Helium, expanding it's size out to at least Mars and making it a red giant. At some point during this period the earth will burn up and become engulfed in the sun. In that respect I guess you could call it Hell on earth.
On the other hand there are religious fanatics (not just Christians) who are predicting an End of Days all the time. That means that even if there was a cataclysmic event like a giant meteor heading toward the earth (like the one that might have killed the dinosaurs) and astromers notified us, any cult who predicted that event would take credit and claim God told them about it before hand. Basically, they would say that now science is validating their religion, especialy since Christians began claiming that a second comming would happen a few years after Jesus died and have been pushing the date back for almost 2000 years now.
So to answer your question, Christians who predicted an End Times that was supposed to occur during that event would thank those who validated their beliefs and those who didn't would either change denomonations or say that God is going to stop or deflect the meteor before it hits earth (or they will think that scientists faked it just like the moon landing and the making the earth seem round instead of flat.)

There will be some Christian skeptics. They would be like, "You don't have a god, so how the hell do you know that the world is going to end? SCIENCE?! As if SCIENCE was precise and accurate all the time! How do we know that your measurements are correct?!" And blah, blah, blah. Just more yapping and whining from both sides. Some Christians will have the grace to be thankful and accept that the things that occured in the revelation is being carried out. This whole "end of the world" thing is stupid, anyway. If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. Why bother making a fuss about something you can't change? "God, give me the courage to change what I can, the serenity to accept what I cannot change, and the wisdom to know which is which." Or something like that. I like to sit back, laugh, and just accept what happens. If it really is God's will, then what can we do about it?

It depends on the personality(Im an Athiest but I have Christian friends). Athiests or Christians, either one.
It seems like you're saying that Christians view Athiests as savages or someone lower. Otherwise they wouldn't be upset(there's no reason to).
Athiests telling the Christians when the end time is near.
This shows that the Athiests are being kind and more open towards the Christians. Christians should be happy about it.
They're not looking forward to worsen the conflict if they're someone that claims to prefer piece.

By "end times" I assume you mean some catastrophic event that could wipe out humanity? Well, there's that global warming thing. And peak oil. Maybe the potential flu pandemic. Then there's been air pollution and the population "bomb". They're not as instantaneous as the "rapture", but they do indicate a serious danger. I haven't detected any gratitude for the warnings. The best Christians can offer back is, "God wouldn't let that happen." (Maybe it's because atheists are trying to avoid it rather than welcome it.)
Some atheists have tried to warn believers that there is no afterlife and that you should try to settle accounts in this life to avoid disappointment, but I suppose that doesn't count.
I'm not sure the scenarios equate.

I would really like to know where everyone buys their stupid pills. Is it something in the water? If you people had a brain, you wouldn't be so dangerous. Why don't you just go off and wait quietly for the rapture with your pals. I would bet a dime to a dollar I have a deeper relationship and understanding of God than you do, and I'm not a Christian. What you call the end times will come about as a result of people like you. It won't be the end times though, it'll just be the death and destruction of millions of people. Still, it'll hardly make a dent in the worlds population. It's just going to destroy the world economy and make it a lot harder for everyone. The rich will have finisher to burn and keep warm, some will even ride motor scooters. God told me all of this.

because the top circumstances area only Christian conception, atheists ought to ought to be certain the international coming to an end some incorrect way which contain a collision with an different merchandise or the daylight blowing up and so on. And in the adventure that they did tell the Christians then easily they could believe an atheist!!!!!!!!! it should be technological knowledge that confirmed an atheist that the international replaced into going to end. So hopefully the Christians ought to take it actually.

Are you implying that the Christians know that the world is going to end and they are kindly trying to get us in gear to get ready for it?
First of all, this question is pretty far fetched, seeing how the atheists don't believe in 'end times'. If there was a time that we knew life was going to cease or if something catastrophic was going to happen, that information would be freely available to everyone, not just the atheists. Like if a meteor was going to hit the earth or if the sun was going to expand and take out the entire solar system. That's the stuff we (or atleast I) would consider 'end times'.
Nothing about this rapture stuff or anything of the sorts.

I am a Christian, and yes, I would apreciate the efforts of those with that knowledge to try to help me, no I would not be upset but would listen to them gratefully as I did when the Christians that did talk to me with the message of the coming of the end times that we are in these 'last days" I listened to them respectfully, and I Learned the things that are so important today to be able to benefit from that knowledge, I didn't know much about the Bible, and they helped me learn many truths that are in there, including, how, to find the fountain of youth, and a happy life forever! Yes I am grateful for their efforts that they made to spend their time on me out of the true love that they had learned to display from the Bible, and to teach me, about, these things, from the Bible, even though I doubted what they were saying, I listened to their wise, councel that they had from the Bible and I have never looked back, My life is very different now, that, I know, the truth. I would hate to think where I would be today, if, I didn't listen and learn from their knowledge and had let, my doubts, get the better of me, by not listening!
