Hey, I'm 14 and my mom says ?I won't get well, my period until I put on some weight
I'm about 5"4 and I weight about 90lbs
So, I want to gain someweight and apparently eating Ramen twice a day doesn't suffice enough carbs for my metabolism. Does anyone have any ideas for healthily gaining weight for a very picky eater? =3

The only truly healthy way to gain weight is to gradually ease into it. Instead of eating the normal 2000 calorie a day intake, eat 2300-2400 calories a day, but make sure that it is not all of the same thing.
You must eat a balanced diet and exercise, even when you are looking to gain weight. Exercising keeps the fat off of your body, and you will gain healthy weight in muscle. Because muscle weighs more than fat, you will also gain weight faster if you weight train.
By building lean, healthy muscles, you will create a slim and fit body.
Your diet should contain a lot of healthy proteins such as fish, eggs and supplements like shakes and protein bars. Also, eat every 2-3 hours, from the second you wake up until you go to sleep.
Try to stay on this regimine and you will gain healthy weight the best way possible, and you will be able to keep this habit for the rest of your life.
Good luck, and if you have any more questions, please contact me!

Easiest way to obtain your healthy weight is to eat healthy.
Drink 8 glasses of water a day also 1 glass of 1% milk
Eat more meat or buy whey or soy powder protein (you can buy this at any health food store or even wal-mart).
Try to stay away from eating extra bread or noodles like the Ramen... this will add unwanted weight from cholesterol (fat)
Eat your veggies,
a little fruit once a day is also healthy but don't eat too much; it contains sucrose, a natural form of sugar...
continue exercising and taking vitamins regularly...

Some tips to try are:
· Drink protein-rich beverages (e.g. milk-based fruit shakes). Have fruit juices between meals.
· Munch on nuts and seeds, which are high in calories and many other nutrients.
· Avoid large amounts of high-calorie, high-fat foods because they will lead to weight gain and possible health consequences.
· Keep physically active so that muscle, and not fat, is gained.
· Eat small portions of food throughout the day to help stimulate a poor appetite. Don’t set unrealistic goals by placing a large portion of food on the plate.
Some foods to help gain weight are: Potatoes, Peanuts, Peanut butter, chesses, red meats, etc.

You are only 14 years old. Many teenagers are very thin, but they put on weight automatically as they grow older. This is because teenagers have a very high metabolic rate and burn calories fast. So, you should not try to put on weight, since it will be difficult for you to lose this fat later. You can find more information on ways to gain weight at http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.html

It's weird to say this but the only way to attack this is to do the opposite of what will make your metabolism faster. One thing you can do is have 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches on wheat bread before going to sleep. Also having rice and putting olive oil on the foods you eat will also help add more calories to the food you're eating without you actually realizing it.

your bmi is 17.8, and superb physique mass index is eighteen.4. you're somewhat under nicely-known yet now not in any danger. as long as you're eating in many circumstances and not dropping weight you would be high quality.
