Hi there,
I am sure that God is displeased at our state of social disregard for one-another, especially when he has benevolently blessed this country with a bounty of plenty.

I would like to suggest an observation that all of us may participate in...
The observation is this, look around you this holiday and make a mental note of things that are wasted and ask your selves....
Who could I benefit by sharing my blessings....

The meaning of "Thanks Giving" is to have gratitude and to share.
I myself really have few resources however, I plan to try and make some-ones day by offering of my caring...

I look for no reward other than a smile...
May all of " Yahoo Answers " participants have a wonderful time and holiday...

Great question. The answer is No. God's heart breaks over it. He aches over the things that separate us from Him and make us less than what He intended us to be. But because He is just, He lets humanity live out the consequences of its own actions. The Bible calls this sin and our fallen nature because of the presence of evil and our choice to follow its ways. Fortunatley, God provided an answer to solve this mess we have made...His only Son died for us on a cross, so that if we believe in this sacrafice we can be reconciled with him and not have to pay the penalty for our sins. Read the Gospel of Luke - its tells the story we will celebrate this Christmas season - the birth of the Savior!

This is not something that God did. This is something that the people do to themselves for their non-belief. If everyone would open the Bible and read the Old Testament where God provided for the Israelites, and made sure they were fed, etc, people might start praying and asking God for the same thing and will get just that. Without belief in God and praying to wood statues, of course people will suffer.

no he's not but that is man's fault, because they have no restraints, they rather spend all they money on drugs and not feed their families, or stay our of work because they felt so bad from using drugs they lost there job then their home and had to go to a homeless shelter, its not God fault that these people would rather go partying and druging on Saturday night instead of being in Church on Sunday morning, where if they had been they could have gone the encouragement to turn down the drugs from the so called friend that got them started on drugs and so on...and so on....and that the way it goes ...don't blame God for man's not being able to control themselves

God's heart will be happy when He sees people helping other people. His heart will break when He sees crime, hunger, and homelessness. Mankind is the steward of the world, and it is our task to help all those in need. God bless us every one.

I never answer questions in this section. I don't think God is thankful for the problems in anyones life. I do think he opened this section for the non-believers to rage a bit and the believers to try to bring the others to him.

I think God will be very sad.
He has asked us to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, visit the sick.
What are you doing this Thanksgiving?
I HAVE OPEN MY DOORS TO THE HOMELESS,
NOT BRAGGING-
JUST SHARING.
Thank you Father God for your great Love and Mercy

More likely God will be disappointed that the secular humanist's haven't lived up to their teaching that we should be helping our fellow mankind.
