Well, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that you can lose your tummy flab and become more toned. The bad news is that, in order to do this, you must reduce the amount of fat you have all over your body, not just in your stomach. You see, spot reduction, or the ability to lose fat in one specific area, is a myth. However, you can help tone specific regions through exercise.

I would suggest doing both of them. If you're looking to lose the belly fat as fast as possible you will also want to include a total body superset based workout as well. I would do the anaerobic training right after the weight training workout and follow that by 30 minutes of aerobic exercise. That will definitely bring you a step closer to getting rid of the stomach fat. Also by now you know that what you eat plays a crucial role as well.

yes amount of cardio is a main factor in burning stomach fat. But honestly if you want to burn the fat really fast and more effectively here is my suggestion:

1- first of all, Check you diet. This is very important if you want to loose fat.

2- Mix Cardio with weightlifting ( for me i start cardio, 30 to 40 mins first then go for weight lifting ). This whole process will increase your metabolism in way to burn more calories and fat.
also to try to do crunches and other stomach workouts on empty stomach

3- get enough sleep. 8 hours at least ( night time ). Avoid naps.

All the experts say that you can't "spot reduce" through exercise. Cardio will make you lose weight all around, and no matter how much you work a certain specific problem area, it doesn't affect the amount of fat in that area. If you get down to the weight you want and still have problem areas, the only way to get rid of them is lipo.
