carol for your neighbors, make hot chocolate, and invite those that carol you in for hot chocolate and get to know them, or go to a Christmas pageant.
or rent all the Christmas movies you like and have a movie night, with hot chocolate of course.

Go out to a live nativity scene at a church (even if you're not religious, the kids would like the animals), then drive around and admire all the Christmas lights, listening to Christmas music. Hype the kids up the whole time, reminding them that Santa will be coming that night. Then when you get home, you could give each child one present each to open, then bake cookies together, or watch a Christmas movie together (like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", classic).

We always did puzzles together when I was a kid. It was fun because we could spend time together doing a project, but there was plenty of opportunity to talk about other things.
It might also be fun to choose a family that does not have a lot, buy presents for them, and leave them anonymously on the doorstep.
Another time, we took blankets to a homeless shelter.
Pretty much, the things I remember most about childhood holidays are the things that we did together without distractions like TV and things we did to help other people without looking for praise from people outside the family.

Bake some cookies or make fudge.
Let everyone open one gift at midnight.
Read Christmas stories.
Talk about your favorite memories.
Tell each other what you are grateful for.
Go to church at midnight.
Play christmas games or cards.
Watch a Chirstmas show or movie.
My own tradition: Me and my boyfriend will go for a ride all over town to look at all the Christmas lights. We do this every year!

I guess it depends on how old the teens are. If you go someplace that the kids perceive to be corny you'll be getting a lot of moaning and groaning about how "queer" you and your husband are and it may end up a disappointment.
Maybe going to a movie and out to dinner or saying home and watching a movie and eating foods the kids really like would be fun.

Share the best Christmas memories everyone has. Then ask them what new memory they want to make for Christmas Eve. That will give you 5 answers to chose from. Merry Christmas!

I suggest playing some cutthroat UNO and have snacks or just have everyone pile into the car and drive around looking at the Christmas lights around town. =)
