George St. Pierre is one of the best in the UFC pound for pound, and has been at the top of the game for months. He was inable to display his great abilities against Matt Hughes in his first fight with him due to a fluke loss, despite Georges dominance of Matt the entire fight. Well George proved he is much better than chump @$$ Matt Hughes tonight, just like I anticipated.
Where does George St. Pierre head next? I think he has to take on Matt Serra, and Im not overlooking Serra's talent... But I think St. Pierre will wipe the floor with Matt Serra. In addition to Serra, there is so much depth in the welterweight division setting up some potentially great matches! Diego Sanchez vs St. Pierre. Nick Diaz vs St. Pierre. Joe Riggs vs St. Pierre. Id personally love to see George take on Nick Diaz after he destroys Serra. That could be one of the most competitive mathces for St. Pierre of his UFC career.

Well he has to defend against the number 1 contender. Which is Matt Serra since won the television tournament.

I know he is set to fight Matt Serra. I'm just glad someone finally beat Matt Hughes especially since he was rude to St. Pierre on the show and just in general. In fact, he seems rude to everyone whether he views them as competition or not.

It will be hard for the UFC to market an exciting fight with anyone against GSP in the welterweight division. Fitch has already been dominated by GSP and his "grinding out" of a decision against Ben Saunders does not make him an interesting opponent. He has not really shown any real growth that would make me believe that he has evolved enough to deal with GSP. Koscheck has a similar problem although may be a better alternative if he can get some wins over viable opponents in dramatic fashion (knockout, submission). That being said, I think Fitch and Koscheck are the #2 and 3 fighters in the division right now. The best bet would be for GSP to move up to middleweight and fight someone there. He is a mid-sized welterweight compared to other fighters but should be able to compete at 185lbs. The all time marketing dream for Dana White would be for GSP to meet Anderson SIlva, but this seems like a MMA dream fight right now.

I'm just so happy to see Matt Hughes beat. He talks to much crap and he couldn't even back it up in the Octagon...what a loser..it may take several fights for Matt to step up again to St. Pierre..or if the UFC want's to make a quick buck to see Matt looses again...the choice is up to the people of course.

He has to fight the tuf champion-serra, maybe a rematch with hughes or penn, but penn might go to 155. A lot of people don't know that penn put st.pierre in the hospital in the first fight, but still won the decision. diego and diaz will get there chance too, maybe parysan. I like hughes too, but i always figured some one would come along and destroy him, penn was kicking his *** until he gassed out.

We all know that Matt Hughes will want a third fight and we all will pay to see it. Another one to consider is the ever so tallented and experienced Jeremy Horn, who is now in Georges weight class.

I'd like to see Diego Sanchez get the chance to be beat down by GSP.
