I think the only difference would be the ritual that you go through during prayer...i.e., lighting incense, kneeling at an altar, facing Mecca, chants, etc.... Also, as I understand it, the Buddha is there for guidance, not to answer prayers since truth can only be found within oneself. I don't think that people are really searching for answers or seeking to have a problem solved when they pray. Prayer is a cathartic exercise designed to project faith into the world outside of the self in the hopes that something or someone is out there listening.

Unless you believe in one particular religion, praying to any of them may help. There will be no difference in answer because these deities read the mind and heart and not the words coming from your lips. Granting of prayers may not be what you want but what they know you need. Prayers for the things you need is followed by your action to achieve it. So be careful about the choice of action and focus your mind to what your heart desire. Instead of praying for money to come by winning the Lotto maybe it is much wiser to pray for wisdom, understanding and good health to work for the money you need. The way you earned it may take a lasting time in your hands than the ones you did not so much perspire for.

Prayer to Jesus is prayer to a real Person that can have an independent effect on your life. People have had real and apparent miracles in response to that kind of prayer.

Prayer to other figures is at best a means of focusing your own mind on your issue. If the problem is within your ability to affect it, the prayer will 'work'. But it's usually quite a lot smaller in scope.

Buddah was a man who is dead and buried. He had a philosophy of life.Jesus is God the son from all eternity, who took on a tent of human flesh, died and was buried and rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father.I think I'll pray to the Father through Jesus.

You have a misconception of Buddhism. It is an Atheistic philosophy, which means it believes in no god or deities. Buddha is just a role model.

Buddha cannot hear you. Only God can hear us. The bible says there is one God and one mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ. Buddha has no power. Jesus has transforming power. To give life here, and forever.
