I think it's good to help people no matter where they are, but it's true that a lot more focus needs to be done here. How can Bush say he is concerned with the welfare and safety of the Iraqi people when he can leave his own people stranded in New orleans for all of those horrible days? He was on vacation when he knew a huge storm was coming. Did he send troops there to protect his own people? I see your point.

If u think that u are all helping other countires, then why there is so much hatred for ur country through out the world. It is for the oil, ur country is killing innocent people in other countries & everyone are very well aware of this.

"Helping everyone else in other countries"? Is that what you call Iraq? Spending money to force "abstinence only" on countries that are starving and overpopulated? Overthrowing or preventing democracy (Iran in 1953, Argentina, Chile, Nicaragua, Cuba before Castro, Greece, Philippines, etc.)?
The only countries the US has ever "helped" are the countries it didn't try to "help". The rest were harassed in the name of "US interests".

When hell freezes over, or when politicians become poor. We have to look good for the rest of the world. Besides, with the illegal immigrant problem our moron politicians can stay at home and still give the farm away to citizens of another nation. The jerks get the best of both worlds. And with the new Congress, it will only get worse!

When our government grows a back bone and says no.....
When the government stops trying to friends with those that will harm us....
When we take a stand and close our borders up tight preventing those from crossing in illegaly training America of our sourses.....
When the American people stop relying in our government for protection and help and start taking care of things on our own.....

bombing pharmaceutical factories in south america where tens of thousands of people who couldn't get their heart medications had died, is not exactly helping everyone else in other countries. fighting in iraq where several hundred thousand have died, where we are not wanted and where there have been no weapons of mass destruction as we were told, isn't exactly helping out. read a few books by noam chomsky and come back with a report.

then maybe we shouldnt of helped the jewish people in world war 2? if we didnt 22million people could of been dead,not 11 million. maybe u can help by helping others in YOUR own country.
