I installed MS office XP on my computer and it didn't install Publisher is it supposed to

Office XP since it was first introduced has come in three versions. One has Puiblisher, a second has Frontpage, and a third has both.

It depends on the license you have for MS Office XP. If you have the student/teacher edition, it only comes with Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint. But if you have the professional edition, you can have all I listed above including MS Access and MS Publisher. You can purchase the licence via microsoft.com.

Windows is your operating system (WindowsXP).
Microsoft Office is your software.
I have MS Office 2000 and Publisher was included with the package.

What are you trying to do?
Did you know that if you have Word, and can familiarize yourself with text boxes, autoshapes, Wordart, clipart, etc. you can make just about anything you want. Word has the tools -- you have to provide the imagination.

It's included in OfficeXP 2003 but I think it's not included in the versions previous then 2003.Check your product's version.

choose custom installation and select publisher.
