Well, it is relatively safe, but you won't be in as good health as you would be if you actually worked it off.

I just finished reading a book by Barbara Thompson about the life after weight loss surgery. It's a great read by the way if you have not read it yet. When you lose your weight so rapidly it's very difficult and highly unlikely that you will regain that tightness that you're looking for. While it might be worthwhile to get surgery to remove the excess skin I'd look to get involved in a lifestyle of healthy eating, hydration as well as lifting weights. While this might not completely get rid of the excess skin, it will help. Word is surgery for excess skin can be pretty $$$ pricey.

I know someone who did and she had to have two additional surgeries to correct the problems, plus she had a lot of pain from the surgery.
I'd recommend finding exercises to tone the skin and try them for a few weeks on a regular basis. If that doesn't work, then check with a reputable plastic surgeon. And possibly get references (although with HIPAA - privacy act, I'm not sure if that is possible).
Perhaps go to a discussion board on yahoo. Often there are discussion boards for various medical conditions.

If you have what is called a "pannus" or large flap of skin with fat that hangs down from your belly button down- yes, you should have the skin removed. It is unhealthy since you can get all kinds of infections of the skin due to the moistness in the area, and if you have been having rashes and infections, your medical insurance may cover the surgery--- good luck to you, and you deserve to look as good as you feel after losing all that weight.!

I dont think of so. based on the quantity of weight you prefer to lose and the time-physique you have given your self it would be ok. I comprehend that's secure to lose a million-2 lbs a week - and that should furnish you 10 weeks to lose 20 lbs secure. you have given your self extra suitable than adequate time to try this. in case you have been attempting to lose huge quantities of weight at as quickly as then you definately might probable have a great project with unfastened dermis.

depends on how much loose skin you have... if you have little bit not like large parts... try using some lotion stuff that is meant for tone/tighting skin... if it doesn't help or u have alot.. then surgery is a good choice....
