What do I think of Mormons?
They're people, too.

Like most religions, the people are basically good people.
I studied the religion considerably a few years back and held many discussions with Mormons and a few "Bible studies" with their "elders" (door-knockers). Most of the Mormons do not know their core doctrines. You can really split them into two categories -- temple Mormons and the rest. Some of the temple Mormons (they have to have an invitation to be able to go to temple) know a lot about the Mormon religion, most do not. None of the non-temple Mormons seem to know much about their religion (I compare them to Catholics that have never been to Mass). Once they really discover the core of their religion, many of the teachings are hard to reconcile. To continue to believe what is unbelievable they have to "snap" (a word used to describe how people accept beliefs of a cult).
A couple of good, easy to read books about Mormonism (written by a former member) are...
"Beyond Mormonism An Elders Story" and "Have you Witnessed to a Mormon Lately" both by James R. Spencer.
Like most religions, if they really want to know what pleases God they will study their Bibles and do what is right.

As a Mormon speaking here, I'd like to point out that the term "saint" really means "member of Jesus Christ's Church." It is not used in the same way that the wonderful Catholics may refer to the word. Hope that helps clarify the second part of your question.

I think they are wonderful people. They seem to really belive in what they teach and have very good values. They have some beliefs that some people may think of as weird but whos to say whats weird and what isnt. And they are not a cult at all.

I think they are sadly mistaken individuals that have been misled. From the beginning, the "prophet" smith has failed the test for prophets as laid out in the Bible. In doing so, making any and every word he spoke a lie. The Bible warns of false prophets and smith and muhammed lie down in the same bed. From wars, cities, and civilizations far older than those talked of in mormon history, we find archaeological evidence of their existance. Not one, no not one, single piece for any of the tribes the mormons talk of, the cities, or the great wars where millions died. NOTHING.The angel moroni was nothing more than a demon leading the followers to perdition. More here...

I think they are mostly good people with strong family values. Other than that I think they are totally wrong with their Book of Morman. I think they are a cult. They want to be gods in the afterlife.

The mormon religion is pretty different than what American society is used to. Then again, if you look at them from an outside perspective most religions are pretty weird, so who are we to judge?

They are a bunch of confused deceived people because they chose to follow the same. All religions THINK they are saints.
There is only ONE God and ONE TRUE way to him.
