Okay here is my question, and I am looking for all answers, Please no kid answers
. Okay so we all are on here because we have questons some seem serious others are just bored people with no life and nothing better to do with their time. But what I want to know is when you post a guestion that is really stupid or just ignorant and you get a sarcastic remark for an answer why do you get angry and e-mail with a nasty comment? You posted it, and sometimes it deserves a sarcastic remark or comment. Or why when you ask a stupid or ignorant question and you get offended by the response, why do you run and report it as abuse? Can anyone out here help me figure out why these people get so upset when they act stupid.. IE: "is it required to have sex after you get married" HELP looking for some sense here.... :) :)

I just went through that exact thing a woman emailed me and said I was rude and stupid and my answer is if you don't like the answer don't ask the question, she posted the same story 3 times as she couldn't get the answer she wanted. I try to give decent answers but there are times that the questions are just stupid, or fishing for controversy,(those I avoid) or so badly written you can't make head nor tail fo them. but that is Yahoo answers we have to sort out what we want to do and I for one will continue as there Arel people out there that need to know. I only hope I can assist them. And I thank you for letting me vent

Hey Melissa,
A lot of these are just kids posting something because they have nothing better to do. The more outrageous questions I refuse to look at.
Even so, there are some answers that go beyond the pale. I haven't asked any questions, but usually I do try to give truthful, forthrite, considerate answers. There have been a few times though, that I made a smug, or funny comment, but only in situations that were foolish to start with. As far as I know, I've not been reported.
When I see someone post about being depressed, the kid who answers telling the person to kill themself, or jump off a roof should be banned.. Answers like that are abusive.
I have it set so that I don't get e-mails, nor do I get IM'd. I'm not on here to look for a relationship, or new best friend. I can only recommend that you do the same if this has happened to you. Besides, I don't use swearwords because I have a better vocabulary than that.
My best.

Here is the reason: Because sometimes some of these "stupid" questions that you see posted are not stupid to the people who posted them. Sure there are your typical idiots on here who post dumb asss questions just for kicks out of other people, but then there are some people or KIDS who are really just stupid and are seriously asking a question. So when we answer with logic (that is somtimes sarcastic and irritated) they get upset and report us because they were serious.
I am like you, I try my best to understand why people are so stupid. That's one of my problems. I always have to find the logic in someone's thinking to try to understand why some dumb people do what they do...and I'm still clueless.

People ask stupid questions because this is 'Yahoo Answers' Its a place where you can ask questions without having to be worried about being teased or looking stupid. Think about it these people are asking the questions because they want ANSWERS! no matter how dumb the question is, they wouldn't just ask a stupid question to get rid of their little level point thingys would they? I wouldn't lol
What I'm trying to say is these people expect to be able to ask ANY kind of question on a q&a site and be taken seriously and with respect so of course they get even the tiniest bit upset when someone not only wastes their time but violates all of that.

I know what you mean, about an hour ago I recieved a e-mail saying I was in violation on some community rules. After I recieved a comment from a woman who obviously has too much time on her hands. Just because I did not answer a question the exact way she wanted. I feel you though. Some people need to stop overreacting and get a freakin life!

Well, I assume that most of the people who ask questions such as this are truly looking for answers. And if they aren't, then they should be expecting the sarcasm. But if they are, they most likely posted the question here because it is not so detrimental to their social life.
But furthermore, if you have no better time than to judge the questions of others, then I guess your question could be deemed on the same level as those that you're making fun of. So there is the irony, I guess.

My true answer to all of this would be: think before you speak.

heres why, usually they are dumb 12 year old kids who have been locked in their rooms so they dont know anything about anything! They ask ignorant questions, and expect educated remarks, because to them there questions make perfect sense.....you just have to pity these ignorant people. And when they respond with a email talking ****, report their pathetic asses. These people clearly have no lives if they live for fighting online.

no longer non secular and that i haven't any questions approximately atheism with the aid of fact it sort of feels extraordinarily self explanatory. of course, by no longer non secular, i'm no longer asserting i don't have faith in a a approaches better being. I even have many questions approximately this being, yet i do no longer believe people sufficient to offer me solutions.

you know, ive wondered the same thing in many different circumstances..the one you wrote above, i remember..and honestly, i dont know why people get offended by what is written as an answer to a really dumb question..people just cant accept the truth..they cant accept criticism..i think if you cant handle the truth then dont post it..

This happens to me all the time. It`s like water off a ducks back. Do not give it a second thought. I think they just bait us so we will bite, and when we do, they love to report us for the abuse. It is a game with them.
