JFK to Croton is around 160 $, Poughkeepsie is way up north so I guess it would be 200 - 250 $.

When you take a taxi from JFK they have a book and could tell you in detail.

A way cheaper way is going to central station with a cab (around $ 40) and take Metro North (aorund 1.5 hours) and cost should be in the range of $ 20 - 25.

It's about a one and a half hours drive. It would be more cost effective to rent a car one way.
