The ~lukewarm~ church is the Church of Laodicea - the single that Jesus spits out. this is likewise the church have been Jesus is knocking on the door, w/the wish that somebody will welcome Him in. This describes the well-liked mainstream denominations. one in all my before questions is: "the place are the missionaries to the Christian church homes?" (to wake-up the congregation individuals who're lifeless to residing the religion?) What we've is a huge falling away of ~believers~ as prophesied for the top cases - and the great deceiver is so good at what he does, that the sufferers do no longer even understand they have been conned. The mainline denominations are the challenge fields of on the instant. unfold the Gospel to "convert" the nominal Christians (in call purely) to a righteous faith which finally leads to God's Salvation.

Not "churches" so much as many of the individuals who make up churches. There are hot, warm and cold in every church and every denomination. Anyone who believes they are going to Heaven simply because of their choice of religious affiliation are sadly mistaken. Only a real relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ will get them there. Just because someone was "saved" at 9 yrs. old doesn't get them there. That's why the Bible tells us to "pray without ceasing" and "keep our eyes upon the Eastern sky" for Christ's return. I don't want to be one of the lukewarm that God will spit out of His mouth.

Another note, we can't let the fact that there are "lukewarm" people keep us out of church. That's a cop-out.

Many of the Protestant denominations have become luke warm in their teachings. The Catholic Church is the only hold out. That's why the world hates the Catholic Church more than any Protestant denomination.

Jesus said that we will know His Church because it will be the one hated by all the world. The Catholic Church gets criticized for having old teachings. But Jesus taught 2,000 years ago, that's why the teachings of the Catholic Church are old. And because Jesus is God, His teachings don't change.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

...Many churches are lukewarm and heresy is slowly creeping into churches, and sin is very subtle - not a big splash, but it seems to be slow and subtle, as we head for the end of time and Christ's return.
...If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything - and don't just stand for something, stand for the Word of God.
...Here is an example of a church caving into the culture. About 1 1/2 years ago the Episcopal Church made this lame and spineles decision, re: the ordination of homosexuals:
..."If you must make a choice between heresy and schism, always choose heresy," said the Rt. Rev. Peter J. Lee to 500 Episcopalians meeting for the annual diocesan council at the Hyatt Regency in Reston.
..."For as a heretic, you are only guilty of a wrong opinion," Bishop Lee said, quoting Presbyterian scholar James McCord. "As a schismatic, you have torn and divided the body of Christ. Choose heresy every time."
...They chose heresy and they knew it was heresy - no character or conviction at all. Now they can have their nice, warm, conviction-less, flaky pack - the blind leading the blind. They should be ashamed.
...One more example: I went to a church with my mother a few days ago - my mother really doesn't care too much about sound, biblical doctrine - she is mostly interest in promoting women (this I think comes from bitterness she has harbored toward my father and her dad, and both are dead) anyway, she introduced me to her female pastor - this woman and her husband are both pastors at this church.
...I did wonder how this woman pastor could biblically justify usurping authority over the men in her congregation - see the following verse - 1 Timothy 2:12 :
...But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.
************************************************************
…We also did not get into a discussion on the following verses in 1 Timothy 3:1-2, which says:
…1 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.
… 2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
…3 not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.
…4 He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity
…I could not understand how she or any other woman could be the husband of one wife and the other pronouns used keep saying, “he”. Men are clearly in focus here as God’s choice for pastors.
…This is not popular but so what…it is most important to know and obey God’s word.
...2 Timothy 3:16-17 says,
...16 "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
...17 "so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
...Read the Word; obey the Word.

Yes. If you compared the contemporary churches with the Medieval Gothic ones the modern are definitely more warm.

For the most part yes. But there is a groundswell beginning to happen like this world is not ready for, but is in desperate need of. Gods spirit is beginning to move inside of the hungry, and we are getting a burden for lost souls. The time of His return is so near that we need to get out of man made ivory towers and get our hands dirty with ashes as we pull people out from the fiery grasp of Satan. There nights when some of cannot sleep all night because we are hearing the screams from the tormented souls in Hell. Last Saturday night I was in warfare all night long, and at times it was all I could do to whisper the name of Jesus because I was literally being choked out. God has given me such a burden for lost souls that every time I start to talk about it I begin to well up with tears for them, and my body starts to tremble.

I know a lot of people will not believe this but I do not care. I AM NOT HERE FOR A POPULARITY CONTEST!!!! I am here for 1 reason only, and that is to spread the Gospel at any cost.

No. They are definitely not Luke Warm. I used to drink with him and Rusty Nail. Luke is nothing like a church and visa versa.

Really depends on the church you are going to. Some of them are warm, but others are hot and on fire for Jesus Christ.

Well, I go to St. Luke's but since they've been remodeling, the heat has been shut off. Warm, it has not been lately!
