Question

When you are joking around with a guy or something of the sorts, and he makes eye contact at you and puts a big smile on?

I ask this because I have always had a problem with my self esteem. My teeth are a little crooked, but not too badly. Like a cute crooked. Also, I had horrible skin when I was younger, but its cleared up alot now. I just want to know if eye contact and a warm smile is important. I look away whenever anyone is talking to me. Its just a force of habit and I cant stop it....

Girls like guys with self esteem. Just as guys like girls with self esteem. Not making eye contact is another form of bad self esteem. Of course we like it when guys make eye contact with us, it just shows us that they are secure. That is if you are talking about a girl who doesn't have a problem making eye contact. Most people have a fear of eye contact because they are afraid of letting others "See" them. When you find your self not making eye contact, acknowledge that you are doing it by making eye contact. It's just another thing where "practice makes perfect."

Another thing you could do is get together with one of your close friends or family members and do an exercise called staring. Make sure you are standing with your hands at you side. do not figit or talk. Blinking is ok but just stare at the other person don't do anything else. What ever emotion you are feeling let it out. If you think it's funny then laugh but maintain eye contact. Try it out some time.

I can say that a 'genuine' smile and eye cantact is important but you don't have to push yourself even though the jokes stinks lol. Well, my tip for you, is to just let yourelf lose. So what if you don't have the perfect smile of the perfect face??? What's important is the communication. Don't be shy! Besides, it's more fun to talk or joke around with someone whom you feel you can connect than talking to a beautiful face but an airhead. Well... I wish I have a friend like you 'cause you seem to be a very kind and sincere person.... but you're holding yourself back... try not to next time okay? ;) Physicals are not that important 'cause people will like you more because of what you are inside. Yes smiling is important. I doubt anyone cares about the placement of your teeth as much as they would the color. Just show them pearly whites even if they aren't perfectly aligned.

Perhaps it's just my crap sense of humor but not a lot of people do that when I tell a famous crap joke.

i think thats cute. it doesnt matter to me what a guy looks like. if he has confidence in hisself, then thats a huge plus. eye contact is great and so is a smile, but shy guys are fun.
